Realizing a dream that millions of young Indians aspire to every day, 23-year-old Lucky gets a golden ticket to go abroad: a student visa. Hoping to provide a better future for himself and his family, he uproots his life in India to go study in Denmark.
In this new and alien world, Lucky’s dream collides with a harsh reality in which he finds himself hustling between odd jobs, caught in the bureaucratic demands for his visa and surrounded by people whose motives towards him are unclear. Who truly wants to help him and who just wants to get ahead?
What started out as a dream-come-true increasingly feels like a trap, as Lucky begins to fathom the ramifications of his decision to leave home.
