WORLD PREMIERE OF NYMPHOMANIAC VOL. 1 LONG VERSION IN BERLIN

The long version of Lars von Trier´s

NYMPHOMANIAC Volume 1 has been selected for Out of Competition at the Berlin

International Film Festival 2014.

 

The screening in Berlin will be the only

screening of the long version of volume 1, until the long version of volume 2

will premiere sometime later in 2014. 

 

Berlinale

audiences will be the first to see the full-length version of NYMPHOMANIAC

Volume 1. Lars von Trier, a guest of the Berlinale for the first time in 1984,

returns to the festival with this film. The aesthetic he has created in

NYMPHOMANIAC is impressive and radical,” says Berlinale director

Dieter Kosslick. 

 

The short version of NYMPHOMANIAC will be

released domestically in Denmark on December 25th with territories all over the

world following in the months to come. 

 

NYMPHOMANIAC includes an international

ensemble cast consisting of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgård along

with Stacy Martin, Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman,

Willem Dafoe, Mia Goth, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Connie Nielsen, Michaël Pas,

Jean-Marc Barr, Udo Kier, Caroline Goodall, Kate Ashfield, Saskia Reeves, Hugo

Speer, Felicity Gilbert, Jesper Christensen, Jens Albinus, Nicolas Bro, Cyron

Melville, Shanti Roney, Omar Shargawi, Tania Carlin, Severin von Hoensbroech,

Peter Gilbert Cotton and many more.

 

NYMPHOMANIAC is produced by Louise Vesth for

Zentropa Entertainments31 in co-production with Bettina Brokemper for Zentropa

International Köln, Marianne Slot for Slot Machine, Bert Hamelinck for Caviar

and Arte France Cinéma, Film i Väst and Group Grand Accord: Arte G.E.I.E, with
