TrustNordisk is proud to announce that Lindholm's A HIJACKING and Bier's LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED have been selected for Venice International Film Festival. Both films will have their world premiere at the festival which takes place from August 29th-Sept 8th 2012.

Selected for Orizzonti is director Tobias Lindholm´s second feature A HIJACKING following the acclaimed prison drama R (2010). In a HIJACKING Tobias Lindholm turns his attention to a current topic - piracy at sea.

The cargo ship MV Rozen is heading for harbour when it is boarded and captured by pirates in the Indian Ocean. Amongst the men on board are the ship´s cook Mikkel (Pilou Asbæk) and the engineer Jan (Roland Møller), who along with the rest of the seamen are taken hostage in a cynical game of life and death. With the demand for a ransom of millions of dollars a psychological drama unfolds between the CEO of the shipping company (Søren Malling) and the Somali pirates.

Starring Pilou Asbæk (R, 2010 and BORGEN 2010-11), Søren Malling (THE KILLING, 2008 and BORGEN, 2010- 11) and Dar Salim (GAME OF THRONES, 2011), A HIJACKING is produced by Tomas Radoor and René Ezra for Nordisk Film with support from The Danish Film Institute, DR and Nordic Film and TV Fund. Domestic release is set for September 20th through local distributor Nordisk Film.

Susanne Bier´s new film LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED will screen out of competition in the official programme. LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED stars Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm and tells a life-affirming story about how, just when you think it´s all over, it just might be about to begin.

Two very different families meet in a beautiful, old Italian villa, in the middle of a lemon grove. The occasion is a romantic wedding, meticulously planned to the smallest detail. Of course, nothing goes according to plan and yet everything works out in the end.

LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED is directed by Susanne Bier, story by Susanne Bier & Anders Thomas Jensen, written by Anders Thomas Jensen and produced by Vibeke Windeløv and Sisse Graum Jørgensen for Zentropa Entertainments 29 in co-production with Lumiere & Co., Slot Machine, Zentropa International France, Film i Väst, Zentropa International Berlin, Zentropa International Sweden, Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), Swedish Television, Arte France Cinéma, Network Movie, ZDF, Arte, Longride and with support from The Danish Filminstitute, The Swedish Film Institute, Eurimages, Nordisk Film & TV-Fond, Canal +, Ciné +, RAI Cinema and the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
