The upcoming Norwegian adventure film THE LAST KING
tempts buyers from all over the world.
After a
promo-screening at the Marché du Film in Cannes, buyers have been lining up
to acquire the epic Scandinavian film from
TrustNordisk.
TrustNordisk has now sold THE LAST
KING to Italy (Minerva Pictures Group), Czech Republic (Film Europe Media
Company) Middle East (Gulf Film), India (Pictureworks) and Estonia
(Estinfilm).
Previously announced deals include sales to
Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Directed by Nils Gaup (PATHFINDER, 1987 and
THE KAUTOKEINO REBELLION, 2008) and starring Jakob Oftebro (KON-TIKI, 2012;
WHEN ANIMALS DREAM, 2014 and THE SHAMER´S DAUGHTER, 2015), Kristofer Hivju
(IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE, 2014 and GAME OF THRONES, 2013-2014), Thorbjørn
Harr (VIKINGS, 2013-2014) and Pål Sverre Hagen (KON-TIKI, 2012 and RAGNAROK,
2013), THE LAST KING presents a tale set in the Middle Ages about two
Norwegian warriors who escape across the mountains in order to bring the last
remaining heir to the throne to safety.
THE LAST
KING is produced by Stein B. Kvae and Finn Gjerdrum for Paradox Film 3 AS,
co-produced by Nordisk Film, Newgrange Pictures Ltd and Proton Cinema+Theatre
with support from Norwegian Film Institute, Irish Film Board and Eurimages.
Developed in collaboration with The Media Programme and Film3.
Domestic
release is currently set for early 2016.
