Following the huge international success with the award-winning drama THE HUNT, director Thomas Vinterberg is currently in pre-production with his next film for Zentropa, THE COMMUNE.
TrustNordisk will kick off presales on Thomas Vinterberg´s upcoming film in Toronto, where it will be pitched to international buyers for the first time.
THE COMMUNE reunites the award-winnning director with acclaimed script writer Tobias Lindholm (BORGEN, 2010-2011; THE HUNT 2012 and A HIJACKING, 2012). Together Vinterberg and Lindholm also wrote the script for Vinterberg´s Golden Globe®- and Academy Award®-nominated drama THE HUNT - an achievement for which they both received a European Film Award for Best Screenwriter in 2012.
With shooting expected to start later this year, THE COMMUNE focuses on the clash between personal desires versus the solidarity and tolerance in a commune in the mid 70´s.
