TrustNordisk comes to AFM with a 3-minute promo for the upcoming film ON THE EDGE (working title) from Danish director Christian E. Christiansen.
Starring Berlin Shooting star of 2009 Cyron Melville (A ROYAL AFFAIR, 2012 and THE BORGIAS, 2013) and Norwegian born actor Jakob Oftebro (KON-TIKI, 2012), ON THE EDGE combines high speed action sequences with a strong story about two childhood friends whose friendship is put to the test when their illegal car racing results in a fatal accident.
Being the first Danish and one of the very few Scandinavian directors to ever open a film as no. 1 on the US box office list as he did with THE ROOMMATE in 2011, Christian E. Christiansen returns to his native Denmark with ON THE EDGE. Since his debut feature LIFE HITS in 2006, Christiansen has directed five features including two American produced features (THE ROOMMATE, 2011 and WHERE THE DEVIL HIDES, expected 2014). In 2007 he was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Short Film, Live Action category for his film AT NIGHT. ON THE EDGE is his 7th feature film.
ON THE EDGE (working title) is produced by the Zentropa Group in co-production with M2Film, Zentropa International Sweden and Film i Väst. With support from the Danish Film Institute, TV2 Denmark and the West

Domestic release is set for March 2014 through Nordisk Film Distribution.
