Following a promo screening in Berlin last week, buyers have flocked to TrustNordisk to secure the rights to the upcoming adaptation of Jussi Adler-Olsen´s bestselling book THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES and its sequels.
THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES, which will be released later this year as the first film in the upcoming franchise based on the books by Jussi Adler-Olsen, has been sold to the UK (Arrow Films), Australia and New Zealand (Madman Entertainment), and Czech Republic (Aerofilms). Furthermore, Poland (Kino Swiat), Russia (Silverbox) and China (HGC Entertainment) have acquired all four upcoming films in the franchise.
Previously announced deals include: Benelux (Lumiere), Germany and Austria (NFP) and Switzerland (Frenetic Films).

Based on the first book in Jussi Adler-Olsen´s bestselling thriller series about Department Q THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES tells the story of the two policemen Carl Mørck and Assad who become involved in a five-year-old case concerning a missing woman, Merete. Soon Carl and Assad are on a journey through Scandinavia´s darkest corners to find a psychopathic killer.
Starring Nikolaj Lie Kaas (ANGELS & DEMONS, 2009) and Fares Fares (SAFE HOUSE, 2012 and ZERO DARK THIRTY, 2013) THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES is directed by Mikkel Nørgaard (KLOWN, 2010) and with screenplay by Academy Award ® nominee Nikolaj Arcel who wrote and directed A ROYAL AFFAIR (2012) and also wrote the script for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (2009).
