Hans Petter Moland´s Competition title IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE continues to impress international distributors from all over the world.
The film, which celebrated its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival the day before yesterday to excellent reviews from the international press, has now been sold to Italy (Teodora Film), Switzerland (Xenix Filmdistribution GmbH), Hong Kong (First distributors Ltd.) , Iran (Irib Media Trade) and Taiwan (Filmware International Co. Ltd.) bringing the number of sales up to more than 40 countries.
IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE marks Moland´s third time in Competition at Berlin International Film Festival and tells a story about Nils (Stellan Skarsgård) who drives a snow blower and has a carefree life in snow covered Norway, until his son´s death suddenly puts him in the middle of a drug war between the Norwegian mafia and Serbian criminals.
Other cast members include Bruno Ganz (DOWNFALL, 2004), Pål Sverre Hagen (KON-TIKI, 2012), Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (BORGEN 2010-2013), Kristoffer Hivju (GAME OF THRONES, 2013) and one of this year´s Berlin Shooting Stars Jakob Oftebro (KON-TIKI).
IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE is produced by Finn Gjerdrum and Stein B. Kvae from Norwegian production company Paradox and supported by the Norwegian Film Institute, the Swedish Film Institute, the Danish Film Institute, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, Eurimages, Film3 and Film i Väst.
Domestic release is set for February 21st 2014 through Nordisk Film Distribution.
