The largest film festival in Asia, Busan International Film Festival, has selected THE PROMISED LAND for this year's World Cinema section (October 4 - October 13, 2023).
Copenhagen, September 5 2023 – Celebrating its Asian premiere in Busan is Nikolaj Arcel's beautiful, epic and brutal THE PROMISED LAND, which took both audience and critics by storm when it world premiered in Venice this Friday followed by its US premiere in Telluride this weekend. Before going on to Busan, the film is selected for Toronto and San Sebastián, and shortlisted as one of three candidates for the Danish Oscar entry.

THE PROMISED LAND is selected as part of the World Cinema section at the upcoming edition of Busan International Film Festival 2023 and the strong epic is still available for Asian territories. The historical drama is produced by the esteemed production company, Zentropa (ANOTHER ROUND, 2020; THE HUNT, 2012; NYMPHOMANIAC, 2012; MELANCHOLIA; 2013; A ROYAL AFFAIR, 2012) and marks to be one of Zentropa's biggest films in years with a budget of 8M EUR. Directed by academy award-nominated director, Nikolaj Arcel (A ROYAL AFFAIR, 2012) starring world acclaimed actor Mads Mikkelsen (INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY, 2023; ANOTHER ROUND, 2020) in the lead, alongside Amanda Collin (RAISED BY WOLVES, 2020-22).
