We at TrustNordisk are very proud that Magnus von Horn's debut feature and festival darling, THE HERE AFTER has won several prestigious awards this weekend.
THE HERE AFTER celebrated its world premiere at Cannes International Film Festival earlier this year and has since been selected for both Toronto- and San Sebastian International Film Festival. In a few weeks the film will be screening at the BFI London Film Festival in the Best First Feature Competition.
It is safe to say that von Horn has marked himself as an auteur to keep an eye out for.
At Gdynia Film Festival in Poland, where THE HERE AFTER was selected for the Main Competition, Magnus von Horn received the ELLE award as this year´s Rising Star; an award which is given to outstanding young talent each year.
Furthermore the film won three of the most important prices at the festival:
Best Directing - Magnus von Horn
Best Screenplay - Magnus von Horn
Best Editing - Agnieszka Glińska
Later on the film won the Polish Cinéma Club award, previously given to the legendary Victor Sjöström and Ingmar Bergman among others.
