Director Carlos Oliveira was awarded with a special prize at the São Paolo International Film Festival, for his film ROSA MORENA. The prize was given by the Brazilian Ministry of foreign affairs, and it won for “Best Feature Film”.
Carlo Oliveira, being a Brazilian living in Denmark, explores through this film the issue of rich westerns offering families in less developed countries offering them to get out of poverty, by selling their babies. ROSA MORENA is Oliveira´s feature film debut.
ROSA MORENA is produced by Astrid Hytten and Thomas Gammeltoft for Fine & Mellow and is the first co-production between Brazil and Denmark.
The film has been selected to participate at the 10th edition of Marrakech International Film Festival (December 3-11), in Competition, witch focuses on new and emerging talents worldwide, and where John Malkovich will be President of the Jury.
