Ritzau: Three danes win acting award at Turin Festival

Danish actresses Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl, Christine Albeck Børge, and Karen Lise Mynster have won the Best Actress award at the Turin Film Festival for ‘Madame Ida,’ directed by Jacob Møller. They were celebrated for their ensemble performance as three women with intertwined fates in a 1950s drama. The film focuses on the pregnant teenager Cecilia and her complex relationship with Ida, who will adopt her child, and Ida’s maid, Alma. The actresses honored this collective recognition and are excited to share the film, Møller’s directorial debut, premiering on December 2nd in Denmark. They also praised the inspiring collaboration on the film. The Turin Film Festival is in its 42nd year, located in northwest Italy.
