We are happy to announce, that we have picked up the upcoming Fairytale, THE ASH LAD - In the Hall of the Mountain King.
The film is directed by Mikkel B. Sandemose, who also directed COLD PREY III (2010) and RAGNAROK (2013). In the media, Sandemose´s style has been compared to that of Steven Spielberg´s Indiana Jones franchise.

The story is based on the epic Norwegian folk tales about the Ash Lad, brought to life in a live-action feature for the very first time.
Espen “Ash Lad”, a poor farmer´s son, embarks on a dangerous quest with his brothers to save the princess from a vile troll known as the Mountain King - in order to collect a reward and save his family´s farm from ruin.
The film is produced by Synnøve Hørsdal and Åshild Ramborg for Maipo Film AS in co-production with Sirena Film and Subotica, with support from The Norwegian Film Institute, Eurimages and Nordic Film and TV Fund.
