We are very excited to announce that we have picked up the international rights for the upcoming action thriller, DARKLAND directed by the promising talent, Fenar Ahmad.
Fenar Ahmad graduated from the Copenhagen based film school, Super16 in 2010. His shortfilm, MEGAHEAVY was selected for the Generation section at Berlin International Film Festival in 2009.
DARKLAND is Ahmad´s second feature film.
DARKLAND stars Dar Salim in the lead as Zaid (EXODUS, 2014; GAME OF THRONES, 2011; BORGEN, 2013), Stine Fischer Christensen as Zaid´s girlfriend (AFTER THE WEDDING, 2006), Roland Møller (LAND OF MINE, 2015; A HIJACKING, 2012) and Dulfi Al-Jabouri (A WAR, 2015; NORTHWEST, 2013; R, 2010).

Zaid is a successful surgeon and lives in a fancy apartment with his pregnant girlfriend. One night Zaid´s younger brother, Yasin, knocks on his door and asks his brother for money. Zaid refuses. A few days later Yasin gets assaulted and killed. Since the police are not very helpful, Zaid feels forced to find out who did it himself and embarks on a mission to eliminate all the criminal gangs in Copenhagen. He disguises himself and takes on the criminal underworld. But Zaid´s persistent battle results in serious consequences for himself and his family, and he has to decide if the price of revenge is worth it all.
