We are very happy to announce that Gustav Möller´s debut feature THE GUILTY has won yet another audience award, this time at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2018.

THE GUILTY was further awarded the IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam) Youth Jury Award which was given to the film that made the biggest impression on a selected jury of young people.

Last week the THE GUILTY won the World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival.

In THE GUILTY we follow alarm dispatcher and former police officer, Asger Holm, who answers an emergency call from a kidnapped woman. When the call is suddenly disconnected, the search for the woman and her kidnapper begins. With the phone as his only tool, Asger enters a race against time to save the endangered woman. But soon he realizes that he is dealing with a crime that is far bigger than he first thought.

The film stars Jakob Cedergreen (TERRIBLY HAPPY, 2008; SUBMARINO, 2010) in the predominant lead and is, besides being an intense crime thriller, also a radical film experiment that takes place in real time in one location, a local emergency call center.

In THE GUILTY the camera stays with the protagonist Asger throughout the whole film, thereby letting the audience experience everything as he does. Through sound, the film plays with the audiences imagination and allows them to create their own images of the outside world and the escalating kidnapping.

THE GUILTY is produced by Lina Flint for Nordisk Film SPRING in collaboration with Nordisk Film Production A/S with support from The Danish Film Institute, New Danish Screen.

The film will be released locally on June 14th 2018.
