PRESS RELEASE: RECORD-BREAKING OPENING FOR A CONSPIRACY OF FAITH

A CONSPIRACY OF FAITH has had an amazing local opening with 207.669 admissions - including pre-screenings, making it the best opening for a local film in Denmark in more than 15 years.

 

Since the premiere on Thursday March 3rd, the film has had the stunning amount of 154.342 admissions and is performing even better than its popular predecessors, THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES (2013) and THE ABSENT ONE (2014).

 

TrustNordisk has closed a large number of deals on the film, securing distribution in more than 60 countries including North America (IFC Films), Germany and Austria (NFP), Switzerland (Frenetic Films), Benelux (Lumiere), France (Wild Bunch Distribution), Spain (Vertigo Films), Turkey (Medyavizyon), Estonia (Estin Film), Poland (Kino Swiat), Russia CIS (Russian Report) among others.

 

The film is based on the third book in Jussi Adler-Olsen´s world-wide popular book-series and directed by Hans Petter Moland (IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE, 2014) from screenplay by Nikolaj Arcel (A ROYAL AFFAIR, 2012) and reteams actors Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares. This time they are joined by Norwegian actors Jakob Oftebro (KON-TIKI, 2012) and Pål Sverre Hagen (KON-TIKI, 2012 and RAGNAROK, 2013).

The story begins when an eight-year old message in a bottle ends up at Department Q. Carl Mørck and his assistant, Assad, are drawn into a horrific case involving a psychopathic murderer, religious fanaticism and abducted siblings never reported missing by their parents.
