We are proud to announce that Kristoffer Borgli´s forthcoming feature film debut DRIB, has been selected for the Visions section at the innovative South by Southwest Film Festival.

Kristoffer Borgli first made a name for himself with the award winning short film WHATEVEREST (2012). In DRIB Borgli tells the inside story of how his friend Amir (29) scammed his way to viral fame, fooled an advertising agency, and almost became the international face of a well-known energy drink - before everything went wrong. The film stars artist and stand-up comedian Amir Asgharnejad, actor Brett Gelman (JOBS, 2013; MAD MEN, 2015; LOVE, 2016; TWIN PEAKS, 2017) and actor/activist Adam Pearson (UNDER THE SKIN, 2013).

DRIB is a fiction/documentary hybrid that re-enacts the story of a failed violent marketing scheme for a well known energy drink. The film simultaneously exposes and revels in media manipulation as it explores the strange and painfully comic advertising process that took place in 2014 - with Amir, a prankster and media troller extraordinaire, appearing in the role of himself. To avoid legal issues, the real energy drink brand has been replaced with a fictitious one: DRIB.

The film is produced by Magne Lyngner and Riina Spørring Zachariassen for Bacon OSL in co-production with Steakhaus Productions and in association with Lovechild with support from Nye veier at the Norwegian Film Institute.
