Jesper Just and Zentropa Entertainments have announced the cast of the second Danish Dogma25-feature film, the drama INCIDENTS OF INTIMACY.

Trine Dyrholm, Christian Slater and Dree Hemingway have been attached in the leading roles. They will be joined by Danish actors Johannes Lilleøre, Julie Agnete Vang, Laura Drasbæk and Michael Moritzen.

Synopsis
A woman unable to acknowledge and access her own feelings constructs intimacy by stealing objects from people instead of getting close to them. After having emotional reactions through the objects, she files them in an archive of intimacy in her cupboard. When a triangular relationship appears, it destabilizes her system, causing emotions to detach from their origins and circulate independently. Gradually, the objects take on a life of their own and the control she’s been holding on to slips through her fingers. Her controlled world is turned into a site of emotional horror as a new reality dawns, created and dominated by autonomous feelings.

Multiple Award-winning Danish actress Trine Dyrholm will take on the role as the intimacy coordinator Linda, who struggles to form intimate connections. Over the course of more than three decades Dyrholm has demonstrated an impressive range and versatility through a wide variety of dramatic roles in feature films with international appeal such as Thomas Vinterberg’s THE CELEBRATION, Susanne Bier’s Academy Award-winning drama IN A BETTER WORLD, Nikolaj Arcel’s A ROYAL AFFAIR, May el-Toukhy’s QUEEN OF HEARTS and in recent years in Magnus von Horn’s THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE and Jeanette Nordahl’s BEGINNINGS.

Dyrholm will star opposite Christian Slater who since his breakthrough in THE NAME OF THE ROSE is featured in iconic international blockbusters such as ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and TRUE ROMANCE as well as the titular role in the award-winning series MR. ROBOT which earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series. Slater also appeared in a supporting role in Lars von Trier’s NYMPHOMANIAC.

Also attached to INCIDENTS OF INTIMACY is actress Dree Hemingway. Hemingway came to prominence with the leading role in Sean Baker’s STARLET which earned her the Robert Altman Award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, and is also known for Ryan Murphy’s limited series for FX, LOVE STORY, Noah Baumbach’s WHILE WE’RE YOUNG, Alex Ross Perry's LISTEN UP PHILIP, LOVE AFTER LOVE, and in 2017 she appeared in Michelle Morgan’s IT HAPPENED IN L.A which was selected for Sundance Film Festival.

They will be joined by Johannes Lilleøre (UNIT ONE; BORGEN), Julie Agnete Vang (THE COMMUNE), Laura Drasbæk (THE KILLING) and Michael Moritzen (THE LEGACY; THE KILLING).
