Lars von Trier´s Zentropa-produced NYMPHOMANIAC Volume II - Director´s Cut has been selected for Out of Competition at the 71st Venice International Film Festival. This will be the World Premiere of the highly anticipated Volume II.
NYMPHOMANIAC Volume I - Director´s Cut created a lot of awareness in connection with its World premiere at this year´s Berlin International Film Festival where it screened in Out of Competition. As a special treat to the audience Venice International Film Festival will also screen Volume I - Director´s Cut as part of their programme, making it possible for international audiences to see the full 5,5 hour version of the Director´s Cut for the first time during the festival on the Lido.
NYMPHOMANIAC is the wild and poetic story of a woman´s journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg).
NYMPHOMANIAC includes an international ensemble cast consisting of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgård along with Stacy Martin, Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Mia Goth, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Connie Nielsen, Michaël Pas, Jean-Marc Barr, Udo Kier, Caroline Goodall, Kate Ashfield, Saskia Reeves, Hugo Speer, Felicity Gilbert, Jesper Christensen, Jens Albinus, Nicolas Bro, Cyron Melville, Shanti Roney, Omar Shargawi, Tania Carlin, Severin von Hoensbroech, Peter Gilbert Cotton and many more.
