The 15th Festival de Málaga Cine Español have awarded Henning Carlsen's MEMORIES OF MY MELANCHOLY WHORES with the special jury award.
The award was given by The Youth Jury, which was composed of students from the University of Malaga. MEMORIES OF MY MELANCHOLY WHORES is a Mexican-Danish coproduction, filmed in Mexico.
MEMORIES OF MY MELANCHOLY WHORES is an adaption of Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel GarcÃa Máquez's novel. It tells a story about the 90 year old journalist, El Sabio, who late in his life rediscover joy and love, which drive his creative expression to a new level.
