Before Cannes kicks off, the interest around
TrustNordisk´s recent pick-up, the upcoming feature documentary NOMA MY
PERFECT STORM is steadily increasing.
Japanese distributor
Longride Inc. is the first distributor on board and has picked up the feature
documentary from TrustNordisk even before the screening of the promo, which
will be presented at the market later this week.
The deal
was negotiated between Sales Manager Nicolai Korsgaard from TrustNordisk and
President at Longride Inc., Norio Hatano.
“We
are so thrilled to bring this unique documentary to the Japanese audience,
and have no doubt this journey into the mind of the most creative individual
of our time will be a perfect match for the art house / specialty
market.” says Norio Hatano.
Rikke Ennis CEO at
TrustNordisk adds “We are thrilled to be working with our friend Norio
from Longride again and are excited that this film about the best restaurant
in the world, will reach Japanese
audiences.”
Director Pierre Deschamps has followed
René Redzepi in all aspects of his life over a period of three years,
creating a multifaceted portrait of the man behind
NOMA.
With automatic access to genius, René Redzepi
plays with wilderness and interprets a forgotten edible world into a culinary
language we all understand. In his search for belonging, Redzepi, a modern
ugly duckling, bullied by his peers, found his home in the no man´s land
and transformed into a swan. Noma my perfect storm is a creative journey into
the unique mind of René Redzepi.
NOMA MY PERFECT STORM is
produced by Etta Thompson Deschamps for Documentree Films in collaboration
with Blenkov & Schønnemann Pictures, Good Rolling Films, Copenhagen Film
Fund, Øresund Film Commission and Red Rental
ApS.
