Succesfull presales in Berlin 2011, even more eager sales after the market premiere in Cannes 2011 followed up by popular festivalscreenings in Locarno, Toronto, London and Busan 2011, Morten Tyldum's HEADHUNTERS recently opened in UK and is today to open in the US, manifesting itself as a roaring succes internationally.

Just a few weeks after Momentum releasing HEADHUNTERS in the UK, it has become the highest grossing foreign language film release of 2012, receiving much critical praise.
The Independent states “It's one of the most satisfying and original thrillers in years”, The Guardian calls it ”A cool, brutal, intelligent movie”, and The Daily Express concludes that "HEADHUNTERS must be seen before the Hollywood version" - referring to Summit Entertainment's announcement that they had acquired the English language film rights.

In the US Magnolia is ready for release April 27th with critics also embracing the film.

Scandi-noir to die for.

Crisp, stunning and maniacally clever.
People Magazine

Smart, funny, scary and surprising, so it's hardly any wonder that an American version is in the works. The big question is whether the remake can measure up.
The Wall Street Journal

Dark adult entertainment, a wild and bloody adrenaline rush of a movie that deals in gleeful grotesqueness and over-the-top implausibilities.

Director Morten Tyldum´s cinematic sensibilities are like an effervescent blend of the Coen Brothers and Quentin Tarantino, yet has its own identity. In short, this film is incredibly smart, funny, and just all around brilliant. You´ll enjoy every single unpredictable moment - and there are many to behold.

Next project in line for Morten Tyldum is the $12.2m historical drama TORDENSKJOLD, which tells the story of eighteenth century nobleman and naval officer Peter Wessel Tordenskjold.

HEADHUNTERS is produced by Marianne Gray from Swedish production company Yellow Bird and Asle Vatn from Norwegian production company Friland Film in collaboration with Nordisk Film. The film, telling the story about a headhunter who lives a life as an art thief and starring Aksel Hennie and GAME OF THRONES' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, was released domestically last year, where it became the most successful Norwegian title in history, driving local box office figures to record heights.
