Summit Entertainment has acquired the English language film rights from production company YellowBird for Morten Tyldum´s Norwegian box office hit HEADHUNTERS based on the book by bestselling author Jo Nesbø.
HEADHUNTERS, which premiered at Toronto earlier this year, revolves around Roger, a successful corporate headhunter, who is living beyond his means and therefore has to steal art on the side in order to keep up.
When he is introduced to Clas Greve, the perfect candidate for at job that Roger is currently recruiting for and also in possession of a valuable painting, Roger sees his chance to become financially independent.
The remake will be produced by YellowBird's Marianne Gray and Berna Levin.
Morten Tyldum´s HEADHUNTERS is produced by Marianne Gray from Swedish production company Yellow Bird and Asle Vatn from Norwegian production company Friland Produksjon in collaboration with Nordisk Film.
TrustNordisk has sold HEADHUNTERS to more than 35 countries and so far the film has reached more than 500,000 admissions in its home country Norway.
