Now a teaser has been released for the international audience, offering the first public glimpses ever of the epic drama starring Mads Mikkelsen and rising star Alicia Vikander.

Even before its international premiere A ROYAL AFFAIR has been snatched by all the major distributors, closing the English speaking territories with purchases by Magnolia (US), Madman (AUS/NZ), Metrodome (UK/Ireland) and being secured theatrical releases in Germany and Austria (MFA), Benelux (Wildbunch), Spain (Golem), Elite Film (Switzerland) as well as in the Eastern European part with Best Film (Poland), AeroFilms (Slovakia and Czech Republic) on board. Recently TrustNordisk also closed deals with Turkey (Calinos Entertainment) and China (Lens Media).
Director Nikolaj Arcel has won numerous prizes for features such as KING´S GAME (2004), THE ISLAND OF LOST SOULS(2007) and lately he was nominated for the most prestigious film prize in Scandinavia, The Nordic Film Council Prize, for his drama-comedy TRUTH ABOUT MEN(2010). Arcel also wrote the screenplay for Stieg Larsson´s THE GIRL WITH A DRAGON TATOO - an accomplishment for which he earned a BAFTA nomination (2011).
